THE JUDGE OF ALL THE EARTH

Scripture Reading: Genesis 18:16-33.

Memory Verse: Genesis 18:25.

In the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, what is said about the righteous being spared? Genesis 18:23-32.
What is said about these cities being examples of the future judgments? 2 Peter 2:6.
Should we fear or question the judgment of our Heavenly Father? Psalms 96:10; 1 John 4:16-18.
Shall we fear what men may do to us, or rather choose to fall into the hands of a merciful Heavenly Father? 2 Samuel 24:13,14.

NOTE: David from a boy up, did not live unto himself. The purpose of his life without fear of what the enemy could do, was to bless others. He had the evidence of the presence with him of that powerful intervening hand of deliverance. He slew the lion and the bear, (1 Samuel 17:34-36), and prevailed against the mighty giant of the Philistines, (verses 48,49), — he feared not what men could do.

When the Father’s presence is with us, will things always go smoothly? Hebrews 12:6, 1 Peter 1:7.
What about Job who lost his possessions, and all his children? Job 1:20-22.
When his body was sorely afflicted, did he lose faith and complain? Job 7:20,21.

NOTE: It is well to mark here the humble life of the Saviour, and behold His poverty; His agony in Gethsemane; His reproach in the face of scoffers; a crown of sharp thorns on His head; His trial and condemnation before wicked men as a criminal and His agony of the cross. Yet from all this He arose victorious, triumphant, and was exalted before the very Majesty of heaven, to be crowned as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Did Job understand the reason of these afflictions, or try to justify himself? Job 31:3-7, 24-27, & 29,30.
Who was it that came to Job with comforting words, and uttered prophecies later to be fulfilled? Job 32:5-10
What were some of the comforting words? Job 33:22-29.
In his subjection and humility, what did Job finally say? Job 40:3,4; 42:1-6. Please read 1 Peter 4:12,13, & 5:6,7.
What is said about the man upon whom the Father brings chastisements? Psalm 94:2-15.
What command was given to the three men, –Job’s would be comforters? Job 42:7-9.

NOTE: The three men who came as Job’s friends had wrongly accused him during the period of his affliction. The wrath of God was kindled against them. It was not withdrawn until Job prayed for them.

After Job endured with patience, and had prayed for his friends, how was he blessed? Verses 10-16.
What is said about mercy and judgment in James 2:12,13?
The child Samuel was weaned, and his mother brought him before Eli the high priest. What prophetic words did she speak concerning the Judge of the earth? 1 Samuel 2:10.
Did King David also long for this time? Psalms 94:1-3; 96:10-13.
What is the conclusion of all that is expected of mankind and does the Great Judge know every secret thing? Ecc. 12:13,14.

Introduction: Each group member that joins agrees to abide by and defend the guiding principles shared below. We do this in order to make everyone feel welcome, but in particular, to level the playing field. When the playing field is uneven, the road tends to be bumpy and steep. We do this fully aware that some of us do not have such opportunities in the churches or congregations they come from. In fact most churches or congregations avoid teaching the Scriptures and worse, some teach wrong doctrines.

In short, here are the core principles by which members are expected to abide, defend and to promote:
1. Members join in their individual and private capacity, i.e. no one may represent their church or assembly.

2. No member may use his/her title to intimidate/bully or impose views on others – the idea is to share knowledge, not to tell others what to know or think.

3. None of the members claim to be experts on religious or any topic discussed on this platform. We aim to share the little we know for the mutual benefit of everyone.

4. All members are expected to participate actively so that there is joint ownership of the outcomes of the discussions.

5. No member may discriminate against any other member on any grounds, including race, gender, age, religion, nationality, etc.

6. Members have the right to propose a topic or ask questions. However, questions must be relevant to the topic being discussed at the time. New topics should only be proposed when the current topic is formally closed or has become stagnant.

7. Members accept to be addressed as brother or sister without any intention to disrespect anyone. Mutual respect is expected and implied in all interactions in this platform.

8. Membership in this group is open to everyone irrespective of the denomination, race, gender, age, nationality, title, etc.

9. Members accept that, from time-to-time, we may need to call one another to order should members digress from the topic or create other problems. This is necessary so that we maintain order and ensure progress in line with the mandate of the group.

10. Members who deliberately undermine the group principles and show no repentance after attempts to correct them maybe sanctioned by the group administrator by way of suspension or permanent expulsion from the group.

11. Given that this is an international platform, members are requested to use and stick to English as language for the purposes of discussions and questions.

12. From Friday evening until Monday evening, the group takes a break from discussing formal topics. In this time, members are free to share none topical issues of common interest, e.g. messages, warnings, information of common interest, etc.

13. No internal issues that are specific to a particular church or congregation may be shared, e.g. members from a particular church or congregation discussing issues that are not of common interest to the group unless it’s an open invite to everyone the group in general. Otherwise, such issues should be handled offline between the individuals involved.

14. Although not desirable for the group, members are free to peacefully exit the group at any point in time when they feel like doing so.

15. The group principles are subject to review from time-to-time through the group administrator.
