THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT UNLOCKS THE GOSPEL OF POWER
Scripture Reading: Luke 6: 17 to 40.
Memory Verse: Luke 6:19.
- From what cities surrounding Palestine were the people gathered together? Luke 6:17.
Note: They had come from a distance of 150 miles and farther, which was a great effort in that time when walking was the main mode of travel.
- What is said about all the sick in that great multitude? Verse 18.
- In what way did the Saviour prepare himself for this great gathering? Verse 12.
- After spending this night in prayer with what was his body charged, and filled to overflowing? Verse 19.
- Was the Apostle Paul also possessed with this magnetic virtue so that people were healed? Acts 19:12,
- These wonderful miracles are written for us, and what is the Command? I Cor. 11:1.
- In order for us to perform all of these things today what becomes necessary? I Cor. 1:4 and 5.
- Being enriched by Him in knowledge, and speech what will be the result as we await His coming? Verse 7
Note: It is Satan that misleads people today in their conversation and causes them to have kind of good feeling when carrying a reproach about someone. When you tell anything that is not good about someone you are guilty of carrying a reproach, forbidden in the Bible. Psalms 15:1-3. When enriched by the Master, seeking for the Holy Spirit, and separating ourselves from evil talkers, and sinners, we can then be partakers of this divine nature, and be filled with Heavenly virtue
- What attitude are we to have toward our enemies and those that curse us? Luke 6:27, and 28.
- If someone literally strikes, you or even smites you with threats, or lies about you: should we do the same to them? Verses 29 to 31.-
- In what way will the true servant, be different from the common people of the world? Verses 32 to 34.
- What promises are given to those who have the right thoughts and motives towards their enemies? – Verse 35.
