THE HEAVENLY CALLING
Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 1.
Memory Verse: 1 Corinthians 1:26.
- Upon what is our calling based? Romans 8:30 (first part).
- What other experiences come after our calling? Romans 8:30.
- What does Paul say of the gifts and calling of God? Romans 11:29.
- How should we understand the above statement? Numbers 23:19,20; Matthew 22:14; 2 Peter 1:10.
NOTE: Paul himself is an example of the calling without repentance. God saw him as a chosen vessel when he did not understand. God foreknew him and struck him down on the Damascus road, and made him know his ways were wrong. When he got on the right way, he fought a good fight, finished his course and kept the faith as evidence that he was called.
