THOU SHALT NOT TAKE HIS NAME IN VAIN

  2. What did Paul have to say about vain words? Ephesians 5:4,6; 4:29; Colossians 3:8.

  4. Are we able to order our conversation right without a change of heart? Matthew 12:34,35.

  8. Shall we be held guiltless if we in any way take the name of the Lord in vain? Exodus 20:7.

Note. We are assured in the Holy Writ of God that we shall not be held guiltless if we use the name of the Lord in vain, such as in swearing, or in taking an oath, or if we refuse to keep the Commandments of God, and follow the traditions of men instead.
