Lesson for September 13, 2025
THE EVERYDAY PRAYER-LIFE
Scripture Reading: Colossians 3.
Memory Verse: Col. 3:16.
- In what important matter was David’s life engaged? How often? Ps. 55:17.
- Like David, what should be first on our daily program? Ps. 88:13; 119:147
Note. The old English word translated here “prevent” means ‘to go before’. So, in beginning the day our prayers should go before the Lord in the early morning, before the bustling begins, thus setting the pace for a victorious daily life.
- Who else is our example of a thrice a day prayer? Dan. 6:10.
- What victory came to him as a result of this plan? Verse 21-23
- Who else is our example of praying? Luke 6:12.
- What else should be associated with praying? Dan 9:2 and 3.
- In this experience, at what time did he get an answer? Verses 20-23,
- How long was he (Daniel) in fasting and mourning to understand the vision? Dan 10:2 and 3.
- How early was the angel commissioned to go to him? Verse. 12.
- Who withstood the angel? How did he get deliverance? 13.
Note. We should learn to pray as Daniel He continued to storm the throne of grace until he got the answer, He did not know who stood in the way, but he was confident that God had heard him, so he kept up the battle until he won. Michael (the Prince, Dan. 10:21: 1 Thess 4:18) went to the angel’s help and will come to our help just the same (Dan. 12:1).
