Lesson for August 20, 2016.
THE BIRTH OF JESUS
Scriptures tell us that Christ is the ΓÇ£Star of JacobΓÇ¥ (Numbers 24:17); the ΓÇ£Day StarΓÇ¥ (2 Peter 1:19); the ΓÇ£Bright and Morning StarΓÇ¥ (Revelation 22:16). The wise men from east were not mere astrologers as some teach. They saw the ΓÇ£StarΓÇ¥ and chose to ΓÇ£come to worship Him.ΓÇ¥ We believe they came by inspiration, ΓÇ£for the world by wisdom knew not God.ΓÇ¥, 1 Corinthians 1:21.
