PROMISES ONLY TO THE OVERCOMER 

Scripture reading Revelation 2:1-17

1. What does the word “overcomer” mean? Genesis 32:24-28

    Note. The prophets overcame and were delivered through prayer and faithfulness. Jacob was an overcomer when he wrestled with the angel. He did not overcome the angel, any more than the saints overcame and conquered the Papacy, but they did not yield, and, thus were overcomers. The Heavenly Father sends His angles from heaven to give us strength and overcoming power, when we depend upon Him, instead of the arms of flesh.
