THE DAUGHTER OF BABYLON
Scripture Reading: Rev. the 17th chapter.
Memory Verse: Last part of Verse 8. Same chapter.
- Where is this daughter of Babylon first introduced? Zechariah 2:7.
- What was the purpose of the angel calling John to him, and what was the Message? Rev. 17:1.
Note: It is the JUDGEMENT of the women revealed in this chapter, and not her past. Therefore, it greatly concerns us today as we see world conditions in preparation for her judgment.
- Before she goes to judgment will she have daughters? (Church Organizations), and, what of their character? Rev 17:5.
- Will she become exalted in mind, because of her renewed popularity and position? Rev. 18:7.
Note: “This false apostate church was born and reared in Babylon, called the daughter of Babylon (Zech. 2:7), dressed up with Babylonish garments, adopted by Rome and named Christianity. The name now includes not only Catholicism, but fallen so-called Protesterism”
- How is she to be carried to her judgment? Rev. 17:7
- From what place does this beast come that carries her to judgment and whither is it bound? Verse 8, first- part.
Note: The phrase “Bottomless Pit” refers to a place unknown. The Roman head with the Papal horn introduced in Daniel the 7th chapter was wounded by the sword and then healed in the very last days, and comes back from the “Bottomless Pit”. or a place unknown. No. one ever found such a place. The deadly wound being healed and this beast coming back carrying the Papal Power, refers to the one and the same thing.
- Who will be worshipping this Roman beast? Last part of Verse 8. Compare with Rev. 13:8, regarding the head that was wounded and then healed in the last time.
- What does the Prophet Daniel tell us about this same head which carried the Papal Horn? How long was this horn or Papacy to persecute the Saints? Dan. 7:21, 22.
Note: We see here that the Papacy exists as a persecuting power right down to the time for the Saints to possess the Kingdom, which is yet future.
- How is this daughter of Babylon come to her judgment? Rev. 17:16.
- What are the 10 Horns? Verse 12.
- Will there be an agreement between these dictators, Communist and Catholic before the End? Verse 17.
- Will these Ten Dictators who have power as kings continue after the Harlot Church is destroyed? What will be their last move, and who will destroy them? Verse. 14.
Note: This will be Armageddon when the Dragon, the Beasts, and the False Prophet, gather together to destroy Israel, the Jews and all classed as Jews, who are friends of Israel.
