THE SIGN OF THE FIRST BORN
Scripture reading: Exodus 20:1-26.

Note. Though the Lord is longsuffering and of tender mercies, His will is always carried out whether man desires to cooperate with Him or not. Here He brought pressure to bear on Pharaoh and his officers. When all of their first born was slain, their hardened hearts were melted. Stricken with fear of death to themselves, they let Israel go. God does not manifest His signs independent of His people. We are the instruments through whom He manifests His great power.
Why did today’s lesson scripture reading was from exodus 20:1-26, yet the lesson was about the sign of firstborns?
I guess that was a typo from the original lesson, the correct reading would have been Exodus 12:1-26.
